The Aloha Club was located in Martinez, CA🌴

HISTORY TO SHARE:

We believe the 1st Tiki Club in America was owned by an African American and Hawaiian in Martinez, CA in the 1940s.

The Aloha Club was started by a Hawaiian woman in 1911 by the future wife of an African American man who started the Tiki Club the Aloha Club in Martinez, CA with Swing dancing and 'Polynesian' Floor shows!

Martinez was an Italian fishing town.

But, during the lead up to World War 2 the ships would dock at Martinez. The military folks would come to the thriving bar scene in Martinez which included the Aloha Club!
